If you stay in Barcelona this Christmas, you have to know that in Catalonia, we celebrate the Chistmas day and, Sant Esteve’s day.
The tradition is, to eat at noon, the Christmas day, the 25th of december, we eat a soup of meat with “galletes”, some meat and cooked chickpeas, it is the typical Catalan stew. In these days the tables are plenty of hearty food and is normal that generate a lot of leftovers.
These leftovers are used in Catalonia to cooked the menu of Sant Esteve! In Catalonia the family meets again the day after Christmas an eat at noon the traditional meat cannelloni, cooked with the leftovers of the Catalan stew.
